Geocache Description:

This cache should be an easy find located directly across the river from a local boat launch ramp.

When Bug (the male half of Bettsbugs) first moved to Canada his parents settled in the West Creston Area. At the time the shortest route to get to the main town of Creston from home was to use a small cable ferry. Not long afterwards a newly built road across the Creston Flats opened a shorter route and the ferry became unnessessary. Even though he rode the ferry only a few times it made a big impression on Bug as a little boy. Since then the ferry has been moved and the cable towers have come down. To commemorate the ferry we have placed a cache near the West Creston landing site.
