tealeaf: Nothing special about this cache placed for an event during the days when no one would come to an event unless there were unpublished caches promised. Will pick up deteriorating container next time I'm in the area.

Geocache Description:

A quick cache along a trail next to Paseo. It's a nice walk from the Shining River area. If you're feeling the need for a drive-by, the ditch south of Ortega is quite drivable and there's a turnaround at the bridge. Update on 4/4/08 There are new gates on both sides of the ditch roads. Not locked now but may be in the future. There are walkarounds at the gates for walkers, horses, dogs etc. Consider parking at Shining River and appreciating the exercise.

I didn't realize that this side of Paseo had trails and paths. I found the spot accidentally after some wildly inaccurate calculations on uuesley's "Tapped Bells". Not finding that one here made me think, looks like a good spot for a cache. The cache is a cammoed plastic spice jar.

This is likely to be my last cache in this area. I had 5 more placed and ready to go and I was told I'd over-saturated the area and could not place more here. That does give me 5 containers ready for deployment elsewhere; it's a big valley...
