A 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended for the sandy trails. Without one, it is a 4-5 mile hike to the cache. Bring hiking shoes or waders, just in case. Watch out for snakes, and avoid your initial instinct to call the FAA - they already know!
Prior satellite reconnaisance is recommended, as roads/trails are unmarked and numerous during the approach. A 4x4 can get you to within 1/2 mile of the cache site.
The cache is a small tupperware container, well hidden from view. Please replace as found.
This cache is located on the Eglin AFB reservation. Hunters, wildlife, military personnel conducting maneuvers, and unexploded ordinance may be present, so you must have the permit granting you legal access in your possession. For $20 geocachers can get an outstanding map and 1 yr. permit from the Jackson Guard. Apply in person or by mail.
