Fenced Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

tealeaf: Not sure why this stretch of trail has been so heavily landscaped but there is no vegetation left at the cache site so no place for a larger container. I think it is still a beautiful area and one of the few ditches to have water year-round. I have placed a new micro (sigh) nearby.

Geocache Description:

I saw the unexpected bench that's about 150 ft from the cache and figured I'd do one more with a bench as the focus. But the cache I wanted to place was too big for the site so I kept going. Cover of any sort is sparse in the winter. It's a beautiful walk; a clear view of the water and on this day, ducks.

The cache is a lock n lock box. The terrain is 2 because of the distance from parking, best done on Rio Grande Blvd close to where the trail crosses the road. It's more than a mile round trip but it's easy, flat and on a well-defined trail. There are a few holes and roots that might make it tricky at night. You need to be on the east side of the ditch.
