Deer Camp Waypoint
is found, if coming from suggested parking, after a easy hike with
mild elevation changes (30 min. walk, one way, for me with photo
stops).
This is a continuation from my Upper Meadow Trail Bridge cache and then to
Deer Camp Fire Road.
The trail starts as a single track but once at the Deer Camp
Fire Road cache the trail widens considerably from horse usage.
During the wet season the horses tear the trail up pretty bad and
transit by foot can be quite muddy at many points.
The cache is about 156’ off trail from the point where the
trail starts back uphill to the NE and narrows again. The container
is a large plastic jug painted with a camouflage scheme.
Coordinates were from 7 satellites.
