A quick drive-by with great views over to Cracken Edge, Lantern Pike, Combs Edge and Eccles Pike.
A micro at the top of the road between Hayfield and Chinley. This is a good start point for walks either to West to Cracken Edge or East to South Head, Mount Famine and beyond. There is an England pin for the FTF.
Parking is available for a few cars just off the main road on the back road to Chinley. The cache is the other side of the busy main road. Please be very careful when crossing.
Congratulations to cats-eyes for the FTF and this extra information.
Allegedly this interesting name comes from the position of the small window above the porch of the house. In the early morning the sun shines through this window onto and down the stairs.
