At the Corner of 1st, 4th, Winslow, Burden & Main Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

tenebrus: This cache has gone through two incarnations now. Both went missing. I might redesign a third one, but in the meanwhile: Awesome Possum, sarahbellum817, Shelly PBC, and BAREFOOT BEAR should log this as "Found It" (to be missing).

Geocache Description:

This is an honorary Roads' Scholar cache.

I was originally going to make this cache a mystery cache (where one would have to find the corner in Troy where 5 differently named roads met), but I just always liked describing this location as "The Corner of 1st, 4th, Winslow, Burden, and Main." There's something disconcerting about 1st meeting 4th, and Main being the road with the least access to elsewhere.

The original description would have asked the Roads' Scholars to find the original routing of NY 2, which has since replaced the original routing of NY 7. [Most of the old NY 2 followed US 4 south until it branched off where NY 378 connects today, ending on some maps just across the river at NY 32 and on others in downtown Albany following both NY 32 and Broadway routing.]

You are looking for a recycled-decon container NANOCACHE!. Please be discreet.
