This cache is placed in West Bridgford, at the site of the bridge across Melton Road, on the former Midland Railway Mainline from Nottingham to London.
The sixth stage of "Mainline to London". The cache contains clues for the location of the final cache.
The Nottingham & Melton Railway was opened in 1879 to provide a more direct link from Nottingham to London. It was closed in 1968.
The trackbed crossed Melton Road here, though the bridge is long gone. South from this point, the embankment has been given a new lease of life as the "Green Line" - popular with dog walkers and school students heading to and from Rushcliffe School.
