The Milton Keynes Hoard was found on Monkston in 2000, this cache is also a little hoard on Monkston!
The Milton Keynes Hoard is a Late Bronze age collection of Jewellery found on Monkston in September 2000 by Metal Detectorists. It is possibly the largest collection of it's sort in Britain to date.
It consists of 2 Gold Torcs, or necklaces, and 3 bracelets, amoung other things all found within a pottery bowl.
The Hoard is now in the British Museum and a replica is housed at the Milton Keynes Museum. Use the above link to wikipedia's page and there is a link to the British Museum there.
Now to the Cache.
The co-ordinates given are for the middle of "the Circle" in Monkston, not the cache location.
You will first have to find all of the Monkston Micros
North GC19AYW
East GC19AZ3
South GC19AYZ
West GC19AZ8
Each of the micros contains a piece of information to complete the co-ordinates of this cache.
Depending on what order you complete the micro's will depend on how far away from the final you end up. Why not take a short cut across the circle, if you're not so close. It's often used for many community events.
Got it all? Now just fill in the gaps:
N 52.02.(D-A-B) (AxDxC)
W000.42.(A-B-C) (BxC) (D-A)
Formula changed 08-09-10
FTF Honours go to Dragontree and The Price Family (We do Checks and Cache)
