Geocache Description:

Small container holds log sheet. No need to step into the flower bed even if the bouncing gps says you need to enter it. If you decide that you must step into the bed, then you must dig 10 weeds as penitence before exiting the bed. Senior staff of the church knows about the cache. However, if you need help do not ask them. Just pray . The secretary enjoys watching geocachers searching on the security camera!

Be sure to take time to look at the mosaic of Jesus on the end of the building. Members of the First United Methodist Church established a committee which spent several years in planning, fundraising, and making several trips to Mexico to arrange for the manufacture of the tiles. The construction of the mosaic was performed by both Mexican and Italian artists. The Mosaic of Jesus was finally dedicated on May 23, 1965. It was presented not only to the church members, but to the resort community at large. It was hoped that it would remind all who come and go on the busy thoroughfare of their privileges and responsibilities as Christians. **** In view of the log of 7/6/21... This cache was originally approved by Rev. David Wilson. Each time there has been a new preacher they have been briefed about the church cache and have approved it's continued presence.
