Cache has been replaced as of 9/14/14. New container, swag and logbook. The cache has been moved slightly and the coordinates will be updated. Dobbs Park in Terre Haute. Easy trails and pleasant walk.
Terre Haute has some great city parks and this is one of our favorites! Dobbs Park is often overlooked and under-appreciated, but it has many great features; such as the Nature Center, Native American Museum and Butterfly Garden. The hike to where this cache is placed will take you near another unique feature of the park, but don't stray too close! (Unless you're wearing old shoes...) The tree cover can really challenge your GPSr's reception, so it might be a good idea to have a compass along. The walk to the cache is fairly level and clear, but the last leg of the journey will take you a short distance off the trail. Due to the proximity of the Cache to the unique feature mentioned above, insect repellent would probably be a good idea during the summer.
