Riding the Rails Traditional Cache
biddlebeach: I am archiving this cache due to the surrounding land being developed recently, I am not sure who this land would belong to, so it is best to just bring it in for safekeeping, will place this cache back out somewhere else someday. Elevation is at 2030 feet. This cache is located near the beginning of the Kane, Knox, Kinzua scenic railroad. Park in the former passenger pick-up area in East Kane. There are many deer trails in this area, so be sure to bring your binoculars to view the wildlife. There are some steep banks to traverse so this cache is not recommended for small children.
The cache container is in a white plastic box with a blue lid with an official Geocaching sticker. A bungee secures the lid. The original contents of the box include a glow-in-the-dark lightstick, a cigarette lighter, a pocket knife, chapstick, a compass, some pencils, and some other goodies.
