Geocache Description:

This geocache is located alittle bit off the first part of the trail to Punalau Falls. It is one of our favorite waterfalls on the Road to Hana. The geocache should be an easy find, but I would recommend hiking back to the falls which is a terrain rating of 4.

We found this waterfall in the Maui Revealed book. Here is the excerpt from the book explaining how to get back to the waterfall. "One quarter mile past the 13 mile marker there's a tiny turnout on the far side of the white 1911 bridge (which is where we recommend you park). About 800 or so feet upstream is a pretty and lacy unnamed falls on the Punalau stream. This is one of the few falls along the way that you can visit and have a reasonable chance of having it to yourself for three reasons: You can't see it from the road, it's never been written about as far as we know, and you'll have to walk on the (usually) dry stream boulders nearly the whole way. (When the boulders are wet, they're pretty slippery.) It'll take between 10 and 25 minutes to get there (depending on your rock-hopping aptitude.)" Even when the stream is dry, there is usually a very beautiful waterfall up stream. Sometimes its just a trickle but its beautiful no matter what.

This geocache is a small rectangular container. It contains a log book, good luck coin, blarney stone and charm.

Small note on cache maintenance: Selina_and_Eric will be maintaining the caches since I will not be back for a while.
