West side of trail, about (4x2) metres north of the big hole.
This cache was hidden as part of the 4th Annual Vancouver Island Hide-&-Go Cache Event. The theme of the event was the number "4". The cache name is an anagram of a point of local historical interest in a great park. Camping is available and conveniently I could park for free in an area 444 metres away which was convenient to the main picnic area, and a logical starting point for a circular hike, starting or returning along the roadway. The coordinates bring you near to something very obvious. You may wish to bring a flashlight. Please do not harm the vegetation. The cache is covered by a small stone and some pieces of bark just to the left of the main trail about (4x2) metres uphill of the obvious hole. A small bit of blue flagging is tied to a little salal stem at ground level is just to the left. Please keep your feet on the trail as you retrieve and rehide the cache. It is not meant to be an arduous find, but you may have to explain geocaching to muggles in the summertime.....! There is a pencil and sharpener in the cache, though it is always best to bring your own pen. You might also divert to N48 28.605 W123 33.108 along a side path going up from the obvious hole to see the shaft. If you come from the direction of the campground, you could also continue on up the trail to view the historic Niagara Canyon Trestle and log more caches as well. Have Fun!
