This is a regular cache located in Phipps Park. Please observe park hours; 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. And, yes it is on top, thus the 4 rating. Too bad there isn't an "ELEVATOR" that takes you to the top.
The "2" Kilo Cache has been placed in Phipps Park which is also known as "Lakeman Park". This cache is to honor Lakeman & Tagalong and hopefully this will be their Cache # 2000. Thanks to them for being one of the several early cachers in the Billings Geo-Caching community. They have supported this Geo-community with their many caches and have helped this Geo-Gang grow and evolve. Congrats on # 2000.
The cache is an ammo can. The cache contains: A rubber duckie, 2 Montana post cards, a Navy jet & a white jet air planes, a small work safety figure, a small ceramic raccoon, acorn seeds from Washington state, a miniature purse with a miniature doll inside, a ceramic rabbit and a bullet shell casing. In addition, the cache also contains some micro caches complete with logs. If you take one of these caches in trade you need to hide it later.
This is about a 1 mile hike one way, up a 300 foot elevation incline. This round trip will probably take a good 45 minutes to one hour. Be carefull, the hill is steep and can be slippery when wet or snowy.
Lastly: For all you FTF hunters, please give Lakeman & Tagalong the chance to be FTF on this cache, after all, it is in honor of them. There is an FTF prize.
