Geocache Description:

The Village of the Sand People

A little way out on the trail from the "A Great Place for a Barby" cache. You will probably need a four wheel drive to do this, unless you have a rental car :) or wish to hike on foot.

This "village" is a collection of small houses/bivouacs that are used by the military. Hence the large number of discharged rifle and flare shells in the area.

Make your way to the "Great place for a Barby" cache and continue up the trail to your right about 1 km.

It can be done in a saloon but unless you are in 4x4 you should leave the car and hike up the trail to the cache.

There are many bivouac sites and a whole lot of "Red Herrings"

Do look at the gallery and if you happen across a container that looks like the cache do not fear there are many of them strewn around the area.

Find a "Gateway" in the trail and you are nearly there.

The area has been used by the military for many years, and has lots of interesting things to find.......
