Geocache Description:

This event is part of the WWFM III - World Wide Flash Mob coordinated events.

A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse.

UPDATE 1: For the first time and for a limited time, there will be a WWFM III GeoCoin to commemorate this world wide geocaching event. If you're interested to obtain one, send me an E-mail through my profile.

WHEN: Saturday, May 10th, 2008

TIME: Sharp at 11:00 AM CST

WHERE: Victoria Park - Regina, Saskatchewan


Activity List:

STAY AWAY at least 50 meters from ground zero until you get the signal! Pretend and act like a "muggle".

11:00 AM - At exactly 11:00 AM as determined by the GPS clock, you will get the signal - a bucket will be placed on the ground at the designated coordinates to signify the start of the event. You may then converge on the bucket for the official event.

Log sheets will be handed out. BYOP.

Sign individual log sheets with your geocache name and number of people in your group. Need this data for HQ to know how many people attended around the world..

Then mingle, chat, swap/trade/show TB’s & geocoins, and all the other things cachers do. If questioned by a muggle, explain to him/her what "Geocaching" is all about.

To save time you may sign & bring your own log sheet (4 x 3 ½ inches).

11:10 AM - Assemble for and take group photo.

Right after the group photo, log slips will be pulled for the door prizes.

11:14 AM - One minute warning is called! "It is now 11:14". Clean up and prepare to leave.

11:15 AM – IT'S OVER!! The pail will be picked up and everyone must leave “ground zero”. If you missed placing your log sheet in the pail, you missed the event, and will not be allowed to log this event.

If everything goes right we will have several people converging on one spot for a 15 minute geocaching event and then disappearing. This could be lots of fun and maybe even raise a few muggle eyebrows. So come on out and enjoy Regina’s first WWFM event!

REMEMBER, please practice "CITO" while at this event.
