Geocache Description:

If you have an old topo map and chart out this location you will realize this may be a hard one to tackle as it is nearly smack in the middle of an active runway!

Alas, the wheels of progress can not be stopped and the Spring Valley Airport has given way to big box stores and luxury apartments.

But if you listen close while retreiving the cache, you may still here the roar of a radial engine popping to life as it throttles up for takeoff over the Spring Valley tolls....or is it just the sound of a nearby HVAC unit cooling shoppers as they nonchalantly go about their ways, oblivious that they are standing on the site of what once was the closest uncontrolled aitport to NYC?!
