Geocache Description:

This series is thanks to Dick and Jan (Saltdean Seekers) as it was thier Walkabout series (click here for details) that spawned the idea.

How many times when out walking or caching have we come across a pond or Dew pond that seems to be asking to become a Cache?.

So armed with pre-prepared micro, it is easy, see site, hide micro, record co-ordinates, get home and enter listing details.

This series will consist of a mixture of:-
caches in their own right
caches situated on the way to other caches
cache and dash types.
In many cases you can decide which type you want it to be, and may want to look at your maps to decide before setting off.

Cache is a magnetic 35 mm film canister containing logbook, please bring your own pencil.

#44 Aldwick Duck Pond

There are various notices and inscriptions giving something of the history of this pond, which was once in the grounds of Dr Barnardos Boys home.

The cache should be easy to locate, but due to muggles, retrieval and replacement will require much stealth.

When replaced, please ensure cache cannot be seen from above.
