Flo's Farm Traditional Cache

A traditional cache with smashing views including an old haunt of Florence Nightingale.
There are probably easier ways to do this cache but if you fancy stretching your legs on a pleasant 5 mile walk then the recommended route would be to park in Combs by the Beehive Inn, head southeast/south up to Allstone Lee Farm and then before reaching the farm buildings follow the footpath for the White Hall Centre that will take you over a footbridge and through Broadlee Farm. You can then head up and bag the "Combs Edge" cache (GCQJGR). Carry on along the path and you'll eventually come to the cache location. On a clear day you'll get some fantastic views including Pye Greave Farm to the right. This farm was bought by Florence Nightingale's family in 1840. Be careful when retrieving the cache as the rocks around where it's hidden could be slippy.
Carry on along the edge and then head down the hill, through Bank Hall Farm and then back into Combs where you can enjoy a pint back at the pub.
The way NOT to do it is by heading up from Combs to Allstone Lee Farm and then thinking you can pass through the farm buildings and up onto the edge. Despite what guidebooks and maps might say, it's not allowed and the farmer ain't best pleased. I suggest you watch the film "Deliverance" for an example of what might happen.
