Geocache Description:


Our very first cache, Haskell Heights, had a beautiful view - so when it got muggled, we decided to move it a little further down the trail. We hope you enjoy this one just as much as the original.Tried to put it close enough to our house so we can easily keep it maintained. The cache is at the border of the Ramapo Mountain State Forest and provides beautiful views all around, including our town of Haskell - which was built as a housing area for workers in the nearby (now in ruins) DuPont plant. If you get a chance, explore the cool ridge (with accompanying gouges) left by glaciers in the last ice age. The cache site provides a wonderful place to picnic. Use the existing trails to get here - some marked, and some unmarked. The cache itself is along the newly created Wanaque Ridge Trail. There is no need to rock scramble for this cache.
