The actual cache is located at the Coordinates listed on the cache detail page. However in order to open the cache, a four digit combination is needed to open a combination lock. The four digit combination is the altitude listed on the bottom of a big sign when first arriving at a large parking lot. Coordinates for the sign are N 39 10.197 W120 14.330. Make sure you write the altitude down before going to the actual cache location. The combination is also listed in the hint if needed, but that takes away the fun. The cache can be accessed at any time of year and no fee is required to access the cache area. Also, there is no electrical power to this structure. The container is fixed and is about the size of a standard ammo can and can hold good size trade items. It is an easy find and in plain site. Prize of an unused Travel Bug Tag for the First-to-Find Cacher.
Optional Bonus Karma points will be given if in your log you post a photo of your caching party taken at N 39 09.844 W120 14. Double Super Bonus Karma points if done via webcam.
The area by the cache is dog and RV friendly and has great hiking and Mt Biking in the summer. There are also a few other fun caches in and around the general area. So come on up and have some caching fun.
On 1/1/09 the cache was re-located to the top, and much safer, shack.
