Geocache Description:

This cache was planted as part of th Neighbour of Leap Year's Day Bash. While driving around looking for spots to plant caches, we came across this very perculiar piece of land, hence the cache No Man's Land.

We are not sure how this piece of No Man's Land came about, but usually a piece of land is called "No Man's Land" when the land in question remains unoccupied by two opposing countries or owners (in this case farmers), either because of fear or uncertainty. During periods of war (especially World War I), it is a term used for the area of land between two enemy trenches that neither side wishes to openly move on or take control of, due to fear of being attacked by the enemy in the process. Thus it raises the question, could there be an age-old blood fued going on between these two farmers? We cannot say.

It could be that these two farmers could just be under the impression that each is his own country (as the old saying goes; a man's home is his castle). No Man's Land is also a term used for a stretch of land when leaving one border post (exiting a country) and before entering the next post (or country). This could stretch from as little as a few metres, up to several kilometers (usually in remote areas).
