Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in a green space that you will have to "fend for yourself" to find. There is a trailhead of sorts at N 38 40.975 W 077 17.584

There is parking in the Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association office parking lot across the street.

The origins of the term “bushwhacker” date to the late 1840s. Washington Irving, the New York author, referred to “gallant bush-whackers and hunters of raccoons” in a story for Knickerbocker Magazine. Essentially, bushwhackers were woodsmen who knew how to fend for themselves in rugged terrain.

The cache container is a medium size cammoed lock & lock.
