Another in the Adventure Awaits. This will take you on a little used trail and back in time. !Oe?U????
Good .35 mile hike along a very primitive trail. Watch out you don't become the muggle for a bear. Saw lots of bear signs. This trail has some low overhangs as well as some dead fall. Not a good trail for mountain bikes or ATV, no side clearance so long pants recommended.
That said, this is a beautiful walk with sights and sounds to enjoy along the way. The parking for Bluebeard can be used. There is a trail with Yellow Blazes part way up, then the trail veers off to the left and narrows. It does appear this was once a narrow gauge rail bed, but its been a long time ago. Many trees grown up in the middle and laurels abound. Camera is recommended on this trip. Towards the end you'll see some beautiful waterfalls and depending on time of year may see some wildlife. Remember that you are the muggle in the woods !
Cache is a camo duct taped ammo box, well hidden. Please place back as you found it so its not "discovered" unintentionally by wildlife or humans.
