This is the third WWFM event and the second held in Michigan. This
Michigan flash mob event is one of many taking place around the
world as part of the World Wide Flash Mob III. Come take part in
this zany, 15 minute, geocaching event.

Saturday, May 10, 2008 will be the day hundreds, if
not thousands, of geocachers will mob together, around the
world.
What is a flashmob?
This event will be taking place at exactly 1:00 PM at the
seating area located between the movie theater and the restaurant
known for chicken wings and well endowed waitresses wearing orange
shorts and white T-shirts. It will end at exactly 1:15 PM.
This time around we are going to have a theme, nothing too
outrageous. Our professional basketball team and our professional
hockey team are doing well and going strong in the playoffs. Our
professional baseball team is turning things around too. Let's show
some support and wear the colors (red, blue, white, and a little
bit of orange) and logos if you have them. Let's get decked out and
show some support!
To make this flash mob work well, come to Fountain Walk early.
There is plenty to do, see, and eat. Find a good parking spot and
stroll around. Then, at exactly 1:00 PM, rain or shine, an orange
bucket will be set down. This act will signify the start of the
event. Please do not enter the area until 1:00 PM.
Time will be kept by GPSr. Everyone's should be in sync from the
satellites. An event card must be signed for this event to be
logged online! The schedule of activities will be updated, so check
this page often.
12:45 PM-ish EST
-Head to the WWFM 3 Fanatic Fans! event. Walk around on the
sidewalks, in front of stores, BE A MUGGLE!
1:00 PM EST
-An orange bucket will placed down at the coordinates. Do not enter
the area until this is done. As soon as this is done everyone
should converge on the area. The orange bucket will be for
collecting log cards. Please fill out the log card and place it in
the bucket.
-Attendees meet and greet; trade swag and trackables as
desired.
1:04 PM EST
-Event meal will be lollipops. (I know this is sport themed, but
hot dogs are too difficult in such a short amount of time. There is
a wings place close by.)
-Attendees continue to sign log cards and place them in the orange
bucket.
-Attendees continue to meet and greet; trade swag and trackables as
desired.
1:07 PM EST
-Group photo: Being a flash mob there will not be time for much set
up. Listen/watch for directions. SLT will take an "official"
picture with a point-and-shoot camera. Others are welcome to take
pictures. (If someone else wants to take the "official" picture,
please do. SLT is not a professional photographer and volunteers
are welcome.)
1:10 PM EST
-Event game: Geocoin raffle from all submitted logs at this point
in the event. A WWFM 3 geocoin will be raffled.
-Attendees continue to meet and greet; trade swag and trackables as
desired.
1:13 PM EST
-Event attendees CITO the area.
1:14:30 PM EST
-Last call for event log signatures.
-Orange bucket is sealed!
1:15 PM EST
-Everyone leaves the immediate area!
The event officially ends at 1:15 PM on the dot. Geocachers are
free to do what they want. There are plenty of caches nearby. Enjoy
the rest of the day!
