Geocache Description:

With permission of the museum curator, this cache has been enlarged and moved. It is now a lock and lock sandwich-sized box. Round up your friends and come visit the museum! You will learn Odessa's history as you enjoy your visit.

Jim and Bessie Parker owned four sprawling cattle ranches in the early 1900’s comprised of 81 sections of land in Ector and Andrews Counties. They bought this historical home in 1934. After completing it, they moved their family into this home to have the children closer to the schools in town. They lived here for twenty years.

The Parkers graciously donated their home and many of its furnishings to the city of Odessa for educational purposes. The Parker House Ranching Museum is generally opened Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 3:00.

Visit the museum during open hours to learn more about the rich ranching history of Odessa, Texas. As you roam around the yard to take pictures of the home from various angles, use your stealth skills to locate the cache.
