Geocache Description:

This is now a bison capsule.

This is a micro placed to call attention to the cemetery and the ruins of the house nearby. If you look on the south side of the road you will see the columns which are the remnants of the Bowling Green Plantation home which was burned in 1864 by Yankee soldiers. On the north side of the road is the Bowling Green Cemetery with some impressive monuments. The cemetery is still in use. Please be respectful. The columns are on private property so please look from the road and do not cross the fence. Bridge is out to the east so approach from the west.
