MrsSherlockHolmes: Due to heavy overgrowth of poison ivy everywhere, we feel it is unsafe, to have people searching for two stages, since there is no way they can avoid contact with p.i. In good conscience we cannot allow that [:)] So we have archived this cache and replaced it with a micro.

Geocache Description:

Two stage multi cache in a public park. Final is a small container suitable for coins and very small trade items only.

Chaffinch Island Park is one of the most beautiful places in Guilford, and we want people to come and enjoy it. It is surrounded by water on three sides, and has a great view of Long island sound and Faulkner's Island Lighthouse. On a clear day you can see all the way to Long Island. There are many different birds here and an ospreys nest just across the mouth of the West River. It is also a very popular fishing place. There are picnic benches and a couple of barbecues (bring you own charcoal) Even a small port-a-potty for the needy ! The park is open is from dusk to dawn and there is a decent size parking area. The cache is in two stages, because we didn't want to make it a park and grab. First stage consist of a cammoed 35 mm film canister. Second stage is a small cammoed plastic container. This one is a new one for us, and it is a bit hard to open and close. It is very important though that you close it properly, and you may have to lean on it a bit till you hear it click. Both stages are winter friendly and should be fairly easy to find, so we haven't included any clues, except that the second is hidden in a similar fashion as the first ! If it appears people are having problems finding it, we will add hints. This is a very popular place especially in the summer, so please be careful when retrieving and re-hiding the caches. Please re-hide exactly the way you found it.
