Located near Swifts Landing Park in Palmyra.
A chain across main entrance in Winter. Still can be done, just a longer walk. I would wait until spring to do this when road is open.
This is part of the Erie Canal orginal canal path. In the early days, this was the path the animals used to pull boats by ropes. This cache is a decon that has room for small trade items. I have placed a few Where's George Dollars and coins for the FTF's in this series. PLEASE replace just you found it. Be descrete in your travels! Good area to learn about geocaching and how to locate and find and rehide caches without being noticed.
this cache is winter friendly, but when placed the was ice on the main trail. please watch you step!
Also take time to enjoy this beautiful area.
If you walk to the Galloway bridge, you can pick up a nice trail to the cache with no bushwacking.
