Pinocchio is a fictional character that first appeared in 1883, in The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, and has since appeared in many adaptations of that story and others. Carved from a piece of pine by a woodcarver named Geppetto in a small Italian village, he was created as a puppet, but dreamt of becoming a real boy.
The "Magic Kingdom" is a series of caches in the area surrounding a small, beautiful oak grove where "Pine-Oak-chio" lives. We enjoyed our visits to the kingdom so much we felt other caches should have the opportunity to meet one of its characters. He won't lie to you--this place is one of the prettiest along the trail, and the cache is placed under a pine tree!
