Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden as part of the One Degree of Separation Geocaching Project. This is a seed that came from the One Degree of Seperation Event.

FTF Prize is the curse of course! I have an unactivated California Poppy Micro Geocoin that I will get to the FTF. It is not in the cache, sorry.

This is a cursed cache for all First to Finder's out there. If you are the FTF for a cache in this series, you are cursed with the obligatation to place another "The Curse of the FTF" cache and therefore extending the series.

This concept is in play up in Fredericksburg, and they have a strong series running; let's keep our's to the south to avoid any confusion.

Guidelines for the series are below: FTF'er should place the next cache in the series (The Curse of the FTF #) within 2 months. Other wise the curse will prevent you from ever getting another FTF again!!! HA HA!! You can only be a FTF for this series once. This is spreads the FTF love around, and gives others a chance to play along.

Cache can be any type of cache (Puzzle, Multi, etc.).

You must include this set of guidelines in your listing for the series, and include the list of all who have been cursed before you. Those Who have been cursed so far:
SailorRory & the Winch Wenches (August 30, 2007) -- Curse Lifted 9/29/07
PerrinGrim (September 30, 2007)---curse lifted 10/29/07
Cheermonkey (October 30, 2007)---curse lifted 10/30/07
Sea_Sky&Land (November 1, 2007)---curse lifted 11/17/07
DeepSeaGoddess (November 18, 2007)---curse lifted 12/02/07
Inertial (January 5, 2008)---curse lifted 2/9/08
DeepSeaDiver (February 10, 2008)---curse lifted 2/23/08
Zippy Crusty & Splatkid (February 2408/p>

In addition, this is a seed cache for the One Degree of Seperation project created by Snoogans. This container, and the seed caches came all the way from Dallas. Since it is a seed cache, it should make the next "cursed" player's job a little easier!

ALL ODS hiders, please use the following information as the long description template: (You can add your own material too, but please use the template as well.)

If even half of the nearly 13,000 caches originally released on 5/26/2006 get placed as a geocache, no geocacher in the entire world (with even 1 find) should be able to go much beyond 3 degrees of separation from every other geocacher in the world, but the REAL object of this project is to bring that number down to 1 degree for as many geocachers as possible.

One Degree of Separation is a project that has been taking shape and GROWING for nearly 3 years. It's a variation of the "Small World" concept that was proposed in the early 20th century. Many people are familiar with the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game, but few know just how far back the idea goes.

For more information on this project and the Small World Theory go to: ( http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=eccadb6f-3b69-4a69-9055-e759bbfc3863 )

To visually see how the project grows over time check the ODS:PRIME! geocaching profile stats at:(http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=c8b5d7b5-b3ea-4e3c-b72c-01b2ab78a6a9) Please email ODS: PRIME! when you plant your seed, so he can add your cache to the ever growing network of caches placed in this project. Many other goals will be posted as the project grows, but here are a few.

To have an active ODS cache hidden on ALL continents.
To have an ODS cache hidden in all 50 states.
To have an ODS cache hidden in a number of foriegn countries, bymilestone, 10 countries at a time. First milestone 10 then 20 and so on.
To have an ODS cache hidden in every county in Texas.

More goals will be posted on the ODS website....

Thank you for participating in what is sure to be a note worthy point in geocaching history.

The following information should be used as the the shortdescription for the seed caches contained in each seed pod:
