Swamp Tromp Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Near a nice overlook in Rifle Camp. Straightforward, and easier than it used to be.

Cache is a Medium Lock-N-Lock.

This cache wasn't supposed to be easy to get to. There used to be a swamp here.. For years, I walked past this spot and saw a swamp. When I started getting notes that the swamp had dried up, I thought maybe it was a seasonal thing, but now that it's still gone, I'm thinking the construction below (or the carving out of the mountain) had something to do with it. Oh well, it's still a nice spot for a cache.

Leaving the following note incase the swamp comes back some day:

Please remember that this is just a game. If you arrive at the cache location and find that you are unprepared to find this one, please come back. Please do not destroy my cache or the area in pursuit of the smiley.

Leaving a bridge to the cache not only brings the terrain down from a 4* to more of a 2 for the next finders; it leaves a big flashing sign for muggles announcing that there is something suspicious in the swamp. If you build a bridge to access the cache, please have the courtesy to disassemble it when you are done.

*I'm leaving the terrain rating for people who've already found the cache and may be using it for a fizzy challenge, or some other reason they would want an accurate history :) But it's definitely no longer terrain 4.
