Geocache Description:

Every year we stay at a little shak near here and now i have got into geocaching i thought this nice little quarry would make a good cache hide. So hide a cache i did!

I think the best way to get to the cache is if you start at Spring beach then go to about S42° 34.641 E147°54.525 where you will see a little track leading off the beach, follow this track and you will end up at a small boat shed. Turn right and continue along the path. Make sure you stay going straight ahead for the first bit because if you turn left you might well end up in some ones back yard! You will pass a few houses (don't worry it is a public track). After a while it sometimes branches into 2 or 3 tracks but they all lead back to each other.
There is a few nice little lookouts on the way where you can admire the sea.
When you first reach the quarry from this direction you will see the big drop off into it, don't worry there is a safe way down!
Keep on walking past a sign saying spring beach and shelly beach untill you see a tree with some old green metal nailed onto it in the middle of the path. This marks where the track leading down is.
Please don't just cache in and out, look around at all of the beautiful work done by hand.
The last bit to get the thecache involves going on gravel near a cliff where it can get windy and also after that your feet may get wet walking in wet grass/mud
So i would not suggest this cache for kids or at least the last part unless there confident to walk next to a cliff in wind and in some mud after a long walk .But i would suggest taking them to the quarry, that in it's self it is really cool.
When you find the cache you may want to sit down on the rocks and look out to sea for a while and enjoy the view!
Cache may look a bit empty because i had one all ready to go at home but i forgot it so i made up this one on the spot.
Please make sure the lid is on tight to stop water getting in.
And most of all Have Fun!
