Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden for the 4th annual Vancouver Island Hide and Go. It is hidden in honor of Grizz the overweight retriever you may see here. He’s friendly!

This cache is about 6 feet onto private property, but don’t worry it is the Huntcliff residence. Access to this cache is FROM THE BEACH ONLY. Please park at the posted parking coordinates and note that the parking area is closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. and there is no parking on the street between those hours either. Please respect this. If you must do this at night there is a beach access at the foot of Walema, And then a fair walk along the beach (only at low tide).

From the beach you will find a set of concrete stairs near some “SOLE” Graffiti. Go up these 6 or so stairs to a landing – the cache is on this landing. Do not proceed up the wooden stairs, the cache is not there.

The cache itself is our attempt at camouflage. It is a small sized lock and lock and it is sitting out in the open. You do not have to move anything to retrieve it. Coordinates averaged to 2 meters accuracy. Please rehide carefully and watch out for muggles!!!! Have fun!
