Geocache Description:

This is a mature, mixed broadleaved and coniferous woodland spreading over 80 acres in the heart of the ancient Needwood Forest. This woodland is open to the public courtesy of the Duchy of Lancaster.

Located 7 miles to the West of Burton On Trent, the forest has 30 Hectares of woodland, with many footpaths.

The footpaths are generally firm compacted stone and in good condition, but unpaved, and some steepish inclines. The minor trails can be wet and muddy. The tree cover even in winter is quite dense, so don't rely 100% on your GPSr.

There is a dedicated car park, that has picnic benches in an adjacent area, and is very popular for walking. A great place for bringing the kids and dogs.

If you park in the main car park, allow about an hour to do the circular of the parent and Part II. (You'll probably need to walk past Part II to get back to the car park anyway)

The cache is a small/medium click/lock container, just off a trail close to one of the main footpaths

The cache log contains the co-ordinates for Part II.
