You are looking
for an ammo can. As you are looking for this cache, you
will probably read this description again, saying, “There
can’t be an ammo can here, I’ve looked everywhere!!”
Undoubtedly, I will say it again, you are looking for an
ammo can
This cache brings you to
a field across from a wild trout management area along the
Tankerhoosen River within a section of the Belding Wildlife
Management Area in Vernon. The easiest way to get to the cache is
to walk across the field until see a small trail in the woods
behind it. Follow this trail for a short ways then turn left and
you should be in the cache area.
The Belding Wildlife Management Area was donated by Maxwell
Belding for use by the public as a wildlife/forestry conservation
and education area. His philanthropy not only provided a natural
resource gem in an increasingly suburban area, but by his keen
foresight for land preservation he also established a trust fund to
pay for future stewardship by professional wildlife managers.
The Tankerhoosen River is classified as a Class 1 wild trout
fishery and is one of those rare places and aquatic habitat left in
Connecticut where one can catch native brook trout and brown trout.
Fishing is allowed year round, however it is restricted to catch
and release only using single barbless artificial lures or flies.
Fishing with bait is strictly prohibited.
You are looking for
an ammo can. Good luck >:)
