The cache is an 4.5 x 9.5 cm long cylinder. It is hidden to a bush
row, near to a promenade. The hidden place is from the opposite
side of the promenade!
You shouldn't place a TravelBug to the
cache!
NYÍREGYHÁZA: The people who
visit Nyíregyháza, only go to Sóstó and its environment, but
there are many more interesting places in the city centre,
too. Nyíregyháza is the seventh biggest city of Hungary. The
city is developing from the 18th century, and it has been the
capital city of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county since 1876. The
county is near the board of three countries: Slovakia,
Ukraine and Romania. THE HISTORY OF
NYÍREGYHÁZA: Nyíregyháza's first written memory is
from 1209, but the name was used to be Nyír. In 1236 Nyír
have built a church, so this is the second part of the town's
name come from(in hungarian 'egyház'=church). In the 1450s
the population was 400. In the time of the turkish conquest,
many people were leave the city, but they were changed with
hajdú people, in the pre-1600s. In the time of the
Rákóczi-freedom war, population was growing, slovakian people
were moved in. In 1786 the town was upgraded to "market
town", so it could make 4 fairs in a year. At this time the
population was 7500, and it was the biggest town in the
county. In the 1800s Nyíregyháza was ransomed itself from the
landlords, the Dessewffy and Károlyi families. After 1837 the
town could build a town hall, hospitals and schools were
built. The citizens of Nyíregyháza were joined the freedom
war in 1848 and 1849. In 1858 the railway was attained the
city, and the tram traffic was started too. Nowadays
Nyíreyháza is an important cultural and educational centre
with theatres and a college.
