Easy to get to a bit harder to find.
The cache location is between the grave (its not in the cemetary) of a local Indian War hero, Dick Pointer, a slave who is credited with saving the day in 1778 during an Indian raid on nearby Fort Donnally, and a hall bought and paid for by one of America's richest men, Andrew Carnegie.
Hence the name: Point Counter Point.
Dick Pointer's grave is a bronze plaque afixed to the rudimentary stone that was its only marker for nearly 150 plus years.
Directly across from his grave is Carnegie Hall. One of only two in the country, this one is now a performance and art center that is about as famous in WV as the other is in its locale.
The hall was bought and paid for by Mr. Carnegie as a gift to the Woman's College which once occupied these grounds. The main building is now New River Community College.
There is usually an art gallery or exhibition in progress, so be sure and walk around to the main and side entrances and check it out.
The cache itself contains key items in addition to the log and pencil: a vintage American Motors car key, a key marked Cleveland, OH, a key for a GM car, a WVU key chain, a can/bottle opener key chain, a CD opener key chain and a #1 key chain.
