This cache celebrates the 20th wedding anniversary of FG2 and FG3
of FiedoGang, who were married in 1988! The engagement happened in
Sweden, the wedding in Arizona, the 2-month honeymoon in Europe,
and the first home-sweet-home together in Austin, TX.
A new passion for FG2 started in 2005, when she became involved
with a training program to help her walk a half-marathon (13.1
miles). A few weeks into training, she discovered to her surprise
that a half-marathon was too easy, so she trained for the full 26.2
miles. And she did it! It was an icy, cold February morning and FG1
and FG3 cheered her on at several spots along the marathon route as
it wound its way through Austin. Rather coincidentally, 2008 is
also the 20th anniversary of this training program. The location of
this cache is loosely related to this newer passion of FG2's.
When announced, this small cache contained several purple
wristbands and whistles, as well as a cool blinky light for FTF.
While it was tricky to get a consistent reading for coordinates,
on-line technology indicates that the listed coordinates are
good.
