Welcome to the Cats den of Cats Den Road. This rocky hole was once
occupied by a cougar or large cat of sorts. Over the years many
have carved their names on the rock below, many initials date to
the early days of Bainbridge.
When I was young my father used to take through a small cave in
the gorge on the west side of the road. The journey was less then
30ft but went under the creek. My last visit to this hole was in
high school, when my friend and I took some girls on a date to be
remembered. While climbing through, we stumbled upon a small red
fox, you can imagine the screams.
You don’t have to be adventurous for this micro cache. While you
sign the log look east at the light blue house, the back addition
was one of the original one room school houses in Bainbridge.
