Cache is located along the Daniel Island hike and bike trail. The path is in great shape and is generally constructed of dirt and gravel. The path is wheelchair accessible but the short distance from the path to the cache is not really wheelchair accessible. The path is lit at night so night caching is good. This is a very high muggle area and the cache has been stolen or destroyed several times. Please ensure you are not seen getting and replacing the cache.
The Mark Clark Expressway opened in 1992 and enabled easy access to Daniel Island from both Mount Pleasant and Charleston allowing the Island to grow into a thriving planned community with restaurants, schools, grocery stores and entertainment. This cache is located along the Daniel Island hike and bike trail which currently has over 25 miles to explore. Parking can be found at the Information and Sales Center. The cache is about 1/3 of a mile from this parking area and is a small size plastic container. Keep in mind that this trail is a high muggle use trail. There is no reason to jump any fences. Good parking coordinates are N3251.382 W07954.218. These coordinates will put you right near the trail and has a nice little park area for the kids. CONGRATULATIONS TO kohldad FOR THE FTF AT 6:49am FEB 26, 08
