Crippled Park

När bilismen började öka insåg man i Hässleholm att här fanns ett problem. Den gamla genomfarten öst-väst hade en järnvägsövergång strax norr om stationen och till slut blev det ohållbart. Politikerna valde att bygga helt nytt, Viaduktgatan, och offra Stadsparken. Hässleholms gamla stadspark består sedan dess av två delar, en större del norr om vägen och en pytteliten park i norra änden av Nytorget.

The City Park of Hässleholm was divided in two when Viaduktgatan was built to solve the traffic situation on the railway crossing. The other smaller part of the park is to the south, just accross the road.
