JT's Spot Traditional Cache

Easy Park and Grab, well almost, you have to walk about 10 feet to grab the cache
This cache is dedicated to a close friend who at this very spot almost lost his life in a mowing accident on July 7, 2003. JT went to work that morning as he had done for over 20 plus year. He and a co-worker “KH” were sent to mow this embankment as he has done many, many times before. While mowing, the rear tires of JT’s tractor became stuck in a patch of soft soil, in an attempt to free his tractor, JT lifted the mower attached to the back of his tractor, as he drove forward the ground gave way, flippingthe tractor over rolling onto JT, leaving him pinned and very seriously injured. His co-worker and best friend “KH” had seen the accident, rushed to JT’s aid,KH attached a steel chain between the two tractors, freeing JT by righting the tractor.
At that same time a guy who was driving by stopped, performed CPR on JT, as he was not breathing.
Immediately after releasing JT, KH rushed to call 911 using JT’s cell phone (KH left his in the truck). JT was air lifted to Rhode Island Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his chest,back and as well as a collapsed lung.
After several weeks in the hospital JT came home but never returned to work. JT would never be able to work again.
This spot is a reminder how fast things can change. JT was very active and out going, now he cannot do much at all.
