Please RSVP here with the number in your party and number of hotdogs you will consume. Non-checked plus ones are welcome.

There are modern facilities here, including super-clean bathrooms with flush toilets, charcoal grills, and a fireplace! These DNR facilities are similar to the ones at last year's venue. There is drinking water, electricity, playground equipment, and fishing. No Hunting.

We would like to see all of our brothers from MAGC, CINCO, NEI-GEO, INDIGO, MIGO etc. that can make it.

We are planning on several new permanent caches in the immediate area that you can log, to be published on the morning of the event.

We will be having a "Closest to the Penny" contest at 1:00 sharp. This contest will be a like last year's. It will be a timed event. Everyone will have 10 minutes from the GO! command,to enter the coordinates, to get to the site, and place their right foot on ground zero. At the end of the ten minutes, whoever's foot is closest to the mark wins. Butterfly Girls are offering two geocoins as this year's prize:

"Drum roll please.......Geocaching Police Squad Magellan Armed (2007) and the very rare MWGB Chick coin from the Butterfly Girlz. hahaha"

-- (Garmin owners will be given an 8" handicap).

In addition, this year we will have a petting zoo, including Patrick the Terrier and Loki the Wolf.

There are many geocaches within a one mile radius of the event, including many on the Scout Trail across the lake at Kil-So-Quah.

And no , this will probably not qualify as a MEGA event. Small and Intimate. But maybe.

HERE ARE SOME PICS FROM Previous years:

SOME OF YOU REQUESTED THE LYRICS TO THIS YEAR'S OFFICIAL SONG, SO YOU COULD MEMORIZE THEM FOR THE SING-ALONG. HERE THEY ARE:

I pulled into the regular pump
I was feelin' quite at ease
I rolled down my window and told the man
"Fifty cents worth, please"
Then out jumped my partner
With his trusty pellet gun
He said, "Boy, this is a holdup
Keep pumpin' and don't run."

Chorus:

And now I wish I was somewhere other than here
Down in some honky tonk, sippin on a beer
Yes I wish I was somewhere other than here
Cause that great fillin' station holdup
Cost me two good years.

We got fifteen dollars and a can of STP
A big ole jar of cashew nuts and a Japanese TV
Feelin' we had pulled the biggest heist of our career
We're wanted men-we'll strike again!
But first let's have a beer.

Chorus

We were sittin' in the Krystal
About as drunk as we could be

In walked the deputy sheriff
He was holding our TV
He roughed us, then he cuffed us
And he took us off to jail
No picture on a poster, no reward, and no bail.

Chorus

The Official BEER of BHDB 2008 is PBR

This is a Rain or Shine dog and kids friendly event.
