The Grand Union Canal links Birmingham to London with a waterway which is 145 miles long and contains 166 locks. This cache is one of a series to be found along or close to the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire stretch of the canal.
This cache is located at Bridge 126 at Pitstone. There is plenty of parking at this location. Please note that it gets very busy here and it is difficult to turn left from the bridge. I suggest you continue up the road a bit and turn around.
At Pitstone Wharf (or harf as it is currently spelt), one can hire a boat or simply take a cruise on one of the afternoon tea cruises. These are popular in the summer and well worth it (especially if you don't quite have the urge to try a narrowboat yourself)
This cache is a COSMETIC POT. There are lots of fishermen about so please be careful! It has a log book only so please BYOP.
