Geocache Description:

Congrats to HunterMan256 for FTF!!

This is so neat.....I had someone write in that knows more information about the Scout Hut and so I am including her email that she sent me as I think this is what Geocaching is all about....learning more and more about local attractions and history in our local area.

Hi RugerPilot345, I am a girl scout troop leader in Arkadelphia, AR. Just wanted to update you on the scout hut. Many years ago the boys used one side of the hut and the girls the other. However, a few years ago boys scouts stooped using the hut. They signed over their part of the hut to the girl scouts. Today the scout hut is being utilized and maintained by the Girl Scouts of Two Rivers Association of Conifer Council. My troop has been going geocaching a couple of times at the Lake. They loved it. Can't wait to find the geocache during one our meetings at the hut!

Thanks, patriciagsleader

I bet most of you didn’t know this building was over here by the OBU campus!!

This is the old Arkadelphia Boy Scout that was used heavily in the 1950/60/70s timeframe by the local Boy Scout Troops 23 and 24. You are looking for a Thermos-type container with log and pencil (always bring your own writing instrument; you know the drill, hee hee)!! This container will accommodate geo-coins and small sized trade items.

If the cache needs attention please advise and I will fix it up immediately. Please position the cache back and camo it as you found it so other cachers will have fun locating this cache.
