Geocache Description:

A two stage multi cache close to town. Final is a cammoed small lock-&-lock box with room for only small items. Park is open from dawn to dusk.

Welcome to a work in progress ! This area is open to the public, but clearly still "under construction", as there is plenty of evidence of ongoing clearing and trail blazing. There are no marked paths, but you can sort of make out a path that takes you around the wooded area. Even without following the path, you cannot possibly get lost, no matter how hard you try ! There are lots of old and interesting trees and quite a few rusty wheels and farm machinery all over the place. I even found the foundation of an old building, and there's something that looks like it was once a rock garden. Should be interesting in the spring. You can get very close to the railroad tracks, but make sure the little ones don't get too close, and watch out for the ditch ! It is an interesting area to explore, and is near town, railroad and marina. You can park at the trailhead N 41 16.233, W 072 41.106. See photo. There is room for a couple of cars. As there is a fair amount of poison ivy in places along and off the paths, wear long pants for protection. No bushwhacking required though.
