Geocache Description:


My friend, Lucy, brought me here one year and I've tried to come back here as often as possible. The draw for me is the great view, the interesting history, the abandoned building. More than that for her, though, Lucy loves this place for the swallows that migrate here. Or stop on their way to migrate elsewhere. Something like that.

The swallows Lucy loves so much are called Violet Green Swallows.You can learn about them with information on the web.

Otherwise, there's a cache I placed here just so you come visit.

Park is closed during winter, but walkers are welcome to come in anytime. When it's open, you can drive fairly close to the cache. Bring a picnic when the weather is nice, and don't forget your camera!


White River Falls (top)

You do NOT, at any time, need to go on the wrong side of the fence or break any rules in this park to find the cache. The cache is difficult to find but it IS possible to do so without leaving the paved pathway. Keep that in mind even if your GPS points you 7' off the cliff; don't go there. Get close, turn off the GPS and use geosense.
