The cache is located at a very familiar spot in Wildwood Park. Good trails all the way. Just remember, what goes down must come up.
Arriving at the coordinates, you'll find yourself in the vicinity of two toyon, or Christmas berry trees. Possibly the large stand of this shrub in the hills above Hollywood gave that community its name, due to the plant's holly-like leaves and red berries. If you're thinking that a few twigs from the tree would look good on your mantel at Christmas, you're right, but don't do it, because the plant is protected by State law.
Note: If you've found this cache before, there have been a few changes: (1) the location is about 20 feet north of the original spot, (2) the container is smaller, and (3) the cache name has been changed so that it is not a spoiler.
You're looking for a cylindrical container, about 1.25 x 4 inches (replaced on 6/26/14 with a metal tea container). The cache contains a pencil, log sheet, whistle, and key fob light (now only a pen and log sheet). There's not room for much more. Retrieving and replacing the cache should be easier than it was at the original location, which I hope will make it less susceptible to observation by muggles. However, the smaller container is more difficult to spot. This should be pretty easy and it is a great hike, even if there were no cache to find.
